2011-2016 | Adv/Promo, Motion
This project collects several videos I directed for different clients. The common theme is food in every aspect: showing delicious recipes and captivating animations we tried to transmit a rich flavor to the viewer.
My first work involving food was the italian flag photo that you see above: it was created for an advertising campaign for newspaper Il Secolo XIX and it’s made of local food to express the richness of italian cuisine. You can see the making of it in the timelapse video below.
This series of four videos shows regional coffee recipes from Italian traditions. It was filmed in stop motion at Lavazza Training Center in Turin. The series was broadcasted by We Are Social on Lavazza Social channels in 2015.
Olivia & Marino snacks are the perfect companions for the italian aperitivo at home. The social media strategy by We Are Social included these colorful stop-motion animations, which I crafted, directed and edited. All the videos gained a great and positive feedback from the social community: the engagement and praise received a big boost in September 2014 from the participation of Elio, the famous Italian musician and showman, whom I had the honor to have as an actor for a series of stop-motion videos.
The animations below were crafted with Marta Azevedo, Marco Bertoletti and the We Are Social team for Leerdammer social community. They are playful and fun, showing the bright personality of the brand. Another series (shot with Michael Gardenia) was meant to show some recipes that you can easily prepare and enjoy in every moment of the day.
The video below was shot in October 2015 for the launch of a new Bimby recipes collection, curated by chef Luca Montersino. It was the first video crafted and directed by GBX Studio, in collaboration with photographer Franco Lombardi.
